Credit Cards are being declined by Snipcart (maybe?)

My client’s website has been working for years. Now, the credit card transactions are being declined. I personally tried to buy something, it was declined, I called Discover and they confirmed they did not decline it. It seems Snipcart declined. Is that even possible? Could someone help me troubleshoot? There are no logs after the “snipcart-add-item” record.

Hi there,

have you checked with the payment processor?
Probably you’re using Stripe, Mollie, Paypal or some other processor, maybe they have more information.

Since external payment gateways are used for transactions, we don’t decline any credit cards on our end.

If this doesn’t turn out to be an issue with your Stripe account, feel free to send us an email over at geeks@snipcart.com (make sure to provide us the email you used to create your Snipcart account) and we’ll take a look at our logs to see what happened here.
