Get used language code at checkout in webhook

Is there an easy way in the webhook order.completed to query the language of the checkout used by the user? I want to send a follow up email and I don’t have information of the selected language of the customer.
I guess I could submit the language code via a custom field, but that doesn’t feel quite right.
Did I miss something? (I’m using SC v2)
