Hello – a newbie question:
Just to make sure I understood correctly: to be able to offer credit card payment, I necessarily need a service provider like Stripe or Mollie, … as described here (-> What payment methods do you support?) - is that right?
I’m a bit confused because in the test environment I was already able to pay via CC (without having configured a provider)… so my thought was if SnipCart is acting as a middleman here and has implemented this way as a default option?!

Yes, you will need to set up a payment gateway, be it one of the default ones like Stripe, Mollie, Paypal, or your own custom gateway.
