Redirect URL Not Used in Abandoned Cart Email

Under ‘Domains & URLs’ on the dashboard, the documentation says:

“By setting a redirect URL, your customers will have access to a link in their email invoice pointing towards a list of their order history. Plus, we will redirect to this URL whenever we need to. For example, if you send an abandoned cart email, the link to the cart will use this URL.

However, the redirect URL that I set is not being used in abandoned cart emails - it just takes me back to my root domain. Is this an intended feature, or a bug? What can I do to change my abandoned cart URL to a specific page on my website?
