Tests emails not sent anymore!

Hi,

I’m starting this thread because I can’t get some valuable support by email, which in my opinion is both a shame and a pity.
BTW, if some of you had a similar experience and know about a Snipcart alternative, I’d be glad to know about.

This being said, here’s my issue.

I’m still in Test Mode, and am quite scared about going live with my Snipcart integration, to be honest.
In the past, I could get those emails:

  • test emails sent from the dashboard, from the “Email Templates” section
  • invoice and digital good download link, after a successful order validation

All of a sudden, I didn’t receive anything, despite I’m using the email address I used to create my Snipcart account, as the recipient address.
This issue occurred since about 7-10 days ago, I would say.

I contacted the support of my Internet Service Provider (which answer in a couple of hours, hopefully!). They can’t see any email sending activity on their side.

Does anyone have a clue on what’s going on?
Any help will be strongly appreciated !

Having the same problem here and came to see if anybody else had shared.

This is not great.

I’d love to know if it’s a Sendgrid problem (do we need our own Sendgrid accounts now?) or something else.

SnipCart email support is pretty much non-existent. My customers don’t get a message when their card is declined. No help from SnipCart. Sigh.

It’s a disgrace. Unless they currently put an end to their business? But even though an email to their customers should have been sent.

I any case, I already switched to another solution. More expensive, but their Support is very responsive at least!

Snipcart forum is community based and our staff is not always looking at new topics. If you are in urge of support always reach out to support@snipcart.com first.

@snelly
At this time, we are in communication with SendGrid to see what can be done. Meanwhile, those who have reached out to us about similar issues have created a free SendGrid account and moved away from our shared account. A free SendGrid account allows for 100 emails per day.

Hi all,

The issue should now be resolved. Sendgrid finally went through and fully restored our account.

Every message that should have been sent since the begining of the incident should be delivered in the coming hours.

Best regards,

You don’t understand, or pretend not to understand - frankly, at this point I don’t care.

I posted on this community-based support, indeed because of a lack of response from the official support

I sent Snipcart several emails . The last was sent 11 days ago, and I still didn’t get any answer, at least “We’re currently investigating”.
Search for “I’m still stucked and waiting for support” in your mailbox: even despite the grammatical error, this should help.

Call your support “support” if you wish. For me, as a customer, the sad experience I had speaks for itself

Hey @Daviiid,

I looked back at our support message history, and indeed, you reached out to us on March 11, and we responded to you within 24 hours. I’ll resend my answer in case you missed it.

For the sake of the community, your issue was related to a Test mode restriction, which prevents emails from being sent to addresses not linked to your Snipcart account until you go live.

Kind regards,

Come on…

I received this email, but answered immediately:

  1. That I used to actually received those emails in the past, in the same conditions.
I didn’t get any answer to this remark, that, I believe, is worth be considered…

  2. That, quoting your words (“which prevents emails from being sent to addresses not linked to your Snipcart account until you go live” ), I was still using the same email address I created my Snipcart account with. Is it linked enough to my account ? I guess so…
    Again, no answer from you.

When an issue occurs in a context it should not occur, IMHO you should understand that any customer has the right to expect an answer accordingly, because obviously something is not as it should be.

You didn’t answer, I felt like my questions were pointless, I opted for another solution. That’s all.
