Urgent: Checkout doesn't do anything after I click place order in test mode

Hello,

I’m trying to finish the shopping cart in test mode, and worked through several error messages - resolving each one. But now, when I click ‘place order’, the checkout just loads for a while then does nothing. If I click the place order button again the same thing happens. But no error messages come up either.
