USPS v3 API (Web Tools API being discontinued in Jan 2025)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the SnipCart USPS shipping module support the latest USPS API (the v3 “Price Calculator APIs”)? And if so, how do we use it? Do we need to use the “Custom Webhooks” approach, or can we use the new “CRID” (or some other new v3 API user ID) with the USPS setup in the snipcart admin?

I’m seeing a note on the USPS Web Tools site that notes that they will be discontinuing the old Web Tools API on Jan 22, 2025 - but I’m not seeing any information about that on the SnipCart documentation site.

I have a client that wants to use USPS as their shipping method, but I’m failing to get any of the above methods of configuring that service on the SnipCart system - so any assistance or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the integration of USPS shipping functionalities. I recommend contacting a USPS representative directly to ensure that your production User ID is configured correctly to access the Price Calculator APIs.

Regarding the API deprecation, our latest information suggests that the APIs Snipcart uses are not scheduled for deprecation on January 22nd. For the most current updates, you can refer to the USPS Web Tools release notes available here:
